National Institute of CardioVascular Diseases is the largest and one of the best specialized government hospital for diseases related to cardiovascular issues for its quality of treatment. Therefore, people from all over the country visit the hospital, specially the poor and underprivileged people. However, given the cost of treating cardiovascular diseases, most poor patients are unable to get the required treatment specially if it involves pacemakers. City Bank being dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of the society and specially the poor and helpless, has therefore donated Tk. 20 lakhs to support NICVD to provide free pacemakers to underprivileged patients.
