Eligibility:

  • Joint, proprietorship, and Islamic account holders are not eligible for insurance policy purchase.
  • Only Bangladeshi citizens can purchase insurance policies.
  • A valid National ID (NID) must be updated in your City Bank account for purchasing an insurance policy.

Dispute Handling:

  • The insurance policy will be issued instantly upon successful payment, and users will receive confirmation via SMS and email from Guardian Life Insurance Limited.
  • If you do not receive any confirmation SMS or email, please raise a complaint with City Bank or contact Guardian Life Insurance Limited’s helpline (16622).

 

Insurance Purchase Process (Citytouch App)

Step 1: Log into your Citytouch account from the mobile app.
Step 2: Go to the “Payments” section.
Step 3: Tap the “Insurance” tab.
Step 4: Select “Purchase New Insurance.”
Step 5: Choose the desired insurance product.
Step 6: Review the product details and Terms & Conditions (T&C).
Step 7: Tick the checkbox to agree to the T&C.
Step 8: Select the debit account to be charged for the purchase.
Step 9: Enter nominee details (and nominee guardian details if the nominee is a minor).
Step 10: Tick the checkbox to declare Good Health.

Step 11: Review and confirm all information.
Step 11: Select your card for authentication.
Step 12: Enter your card PIN.
Step 13: Enter the OTP and tap “Submit.”
Step 14: The purchase is complete. A confirmation screen will appear.

 

Claim Submission Process

Step 1: Log into your Citytouch account from the mobile app.
Step 2: Go to the “Payments” section.
Step 3: Tap the “Insurance” tab.
Step 4: Select “Submit Claim.”
Step 5: You will be redirected to Guardian Life’s insurance website to complete your claim submission.
