• Double Benefit Insurance (DBI): Double Benefit Insurance (DBI) insures your outstanding balance during unfortunate events of death or permanent total disability (PTD) by paying off your full outstanding balance and an equal amount to your nominee. The maximum payout amount will not exceed BDT 2,000,000 or twice the outstanding amount, whichever is lower. Once you get enrolled in the program, you will be charged a premium of 0.40% on your monthly card outstanding balance.

• Critical Care Insurance (CCI): The Critical Care Insurance program allows Cardmembers to receive benefit of treatment of 18 different critical diseases:

For the City VISA Card, the maximum coverage Cardholders would receive per year under the Critical Card program is BDT 150,000

If you use your City Visa Platinum Credit Card for at least 18 transactions per year, either locally or internationally, you will be eligible for the annual fee waiver benefit.

To avail the annual fee waiver benefit upon completing 18 eligible transactions, the cardholder must inform City Bank's 24/7 Call Center at 16234 (for local calls) and (+88) 02 8331040 (for overseas calls) after the annual fee has been charged to their credit card. Only after this confirmation, the fee reversal process will be initiated by the bank.
