City Bank has recently earned 'PCI DSS certification from ControlCase - a US-based security company that is empowered to set new global standards in bank-card safety. 'PCI DSS is a worldwide standard that aids in securely setting up the process of card businesses and payments with the prime purpose of reducing card fraud activities. This certification ensures that the sensitive cardholders data is under the highest protection in City Bank system among other things.

The document of certification was handed over to City Banks Additional Managing Director Mashrur Arefin by ControlCase COO Suresh Dadlani at a ceremony held at City Bank Head Office. Kazi Azizur Rahman, Chief Information Officer, City Bank and Maruf Alam, Managing Director, Cynergon Intelisys Ltd. and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
